The vicar writes ...

Greetings to you all!

It's happened, the Moses Family are now redident in the vicarage.

Yes God has a sense of humour, in 2005 fancy taking a man called Moses, ordaining him and putting him in a vicarage! After two years in my first parish I discovered that my warden, who worked at the local petrol station, was having people on by telling them that their church had Moses living in the vicarage. [She made the mistake of telling my sister without realising who she was.]

Since arriving we have been amazed at the transformation in the vicarage and want to thank all of you who have put so much into making it a comfortable home for us. In the coming months we will continue to develop the garden etc. and look forward to having many of you into our new home.

In our first few days here we have enjoyed meeting some of you and look forward to sharing our lives with all of you in the years to come. To help you here is some information about us:
Don:
Age:
40 something......[I keep trying to forget!],
Interests: Loves fishing in the Sounds [subtle hint .... all offers to take me fishing will be accepted]. Also loves hunting & Linda. [not necessarily in that order]. Has been known to tell the odd joke and use stories about his family as sermon illustrations.

Lynda:
Age:
She keeps trying to forget also but manages to remember that she is 1 year younger than Don when convenient.
Interests: loves drinking coffee and chatting with other women; crafts; entertaining at home; loves shopping & Don. [possibly in that order!]

Tom:
Age:
15 and about to get driving license. [look out Marlborough!]
Interests: cars; hunting or fishing with Dad; guitar and music.

We have two other children, Samantha & Daniel. Sam is 19 and works in Nelson at H.&J. Smith. Daniel is 18 and goes to Polytech in Tauranga.

Bye for now and God bless,

Don
